Board Training Seminars Continue - With ABCs: A Basic Course for Community Associations (Saturday, May 10th)

In our continuing effort to find ways to offer valued management services, we continue to offer our free Board Training Seminar Series to all our client board members. We continue to do this because we are committed to find ways to better support Boards in the roles they serve.

Our next Board Training opportunity that we are offering is "The ABCs: A Basic Course for Community Associations". This is a nationally recognized course taught by industry experts from the fields of Accounting, Insurance, Law, Capital Reserves and Management. This full day training event will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2014 starting at 8:00am and running to 3:30pm at the Courtyard Marriot in Waterbury. This is offered free of charge to our client board members and includes all training material and complimentary refreshments and lunch. To register or request further information, please contact Tracy Melendey at 860-768-3329 or tmelendey@imagineersllc.com.

This course is the most comprehensive review of community associations operations available. Registrants will review the history, organization and financial structure of community associations and will learn problem-solving techniques. You will be able to ask questions, get detailed explanations and receive feedback.

This is our fifth year of providing free board training opportunities to our client boards. Our free board training series has been well received and some of what we recently provided include: 1.) How to better understand and monitor financial statements; 2.) How to best utilize your community web portal as a beneficial tool for your board and community; 3.) Navigating Changes to Common Interest Ownership Act (COIA); 4.) Robert's Rules 101 for Running an Effective Board / Annual meeting and; 5.) How to be the Best Board Ever.

The typical format includes allowing time for board members to socialize and compare notes. Refreshments are provided at each session. We have received many positive comments from board members who have attended. Some have shared their view that as helpful as the training topics have been, it has been equally helpful to be able discuss/share board challenges and successes with other community board members. We hope to see you there.

If you have suggestions on topics that you would like us to cover in the future, please let us know. Please contact Karl Kuegler, Director of Property Management at kkuegler@imagineersllc.com or (203) 463-3219, with your topic suggestions.
